Victor Oladipo 'sick and tired' of Paul George comparisons

* Wednesday on ESPN: Thunder vs. Pacers (8 ET)

It’s only going to get worse before it gets better. Victor Oladipo has been doing his best on the court for the Indiana Pacers — including the career-high 47 points he dropped on the Denver Nuggets Sunday in Indiana’s overtime home victory — to answer questions about former Pacers All-Star Paul George and the trade that swapped them between Oklahoma City and Indianapolis.

But with the Thunder coming to town Wednesday for what will be George’s lone visit in 2017-18, the questions invariably will continue for two or three more days. Even after Oladipo met them head-on after Sunday’s game, expressing a growing impatience. Here’s what Clifton Brown of the Indianapolis Star reported:

Where are the people who said the Pacers were fleeced when they traded George this summer? For several days, Oladipo knows he will be hearing plenty of talk about the trade, and about George. But Oladipo is riding high, preferring not to let outside noise ruin his karma.

“I’m kind of getting sick and tired of the comparisons with Paul George and myself,” said Oladipo following Sunday’s game. “He’s moved on. I moved on from the situation that I was in. Life takes its course, things happen. I’m happy here, he’s happy there. I wish him all the best. I’m feathery, right here as a Pacer. I don’t have no disrespect towards him, or what happened. I’m just grateful, and honored, to put on this jersey every night.”

The Pacers (16-11) have won four straight on this six-game homestand, and they keep finding different ways to do it. They dominated overtime Sunday, outscoring Denver 12-2.
