Get to the game early. (*must have game day ticket to enter building*) Doors open 2 hours prior to tipoff.
Go to the bottom of Sec. 104 (fans are allowed there until one hour prior until tipoff)
Bring a sharpie or pen
Have item ready to be signed
Wait for the players to come through the tunnel
Prior to tipoff, some Mavs players will warm-up on the court. They enter and leave through Section 104 and fans are allowed there until one hour before tipoff.
There are no guarantees that the player you are looking for will warm-up or that they will stop and sign.
