Tux & Tennies Gala
The Mavs started the Tux & Tennies Gala, benefiting the Mavs Foundation, back in 2005 as a way to honor and raise money for organizations that are making a difference in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The event is held annually at a local hotel and is a black tie and tennis shoe event. Tables are available for purchase at $12,500 which include eight seats, plus the chance to sit with a player or coach and their guest (a random drawing is held at the beginning of the event to determine the celebrity at each table). The night features live music, a sit down dinner, tennies contest, silent and live auction and much more!

This year's event will be held on Friday, March 21, 2008 at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas. Tables are now on-sale and can be purchased by calling Matt Miller at 214-658-7108.

Furniture for Kids
On Wednesday, October 24, 2007, OFS, TUSA Office Solutions, and ExponentHR hosted the second annual Furniture 4 Kids Oktoberfest and design competition, benefiting the Mavs Foundation. 30 teams of Dallas/Fort Worth's top architectural and design firms again created one of a kind children's table and chair sets that were auctioned off at the event. Emceeing the evening’s festivities was Mavs Television Play-by-Play Announcer Mark Followill, and acting as a celebrity judges were Mavs Director of Basketball Development Rolando Blackman, Vicki Van Stavern of the International Interior Design Association, and Laura McDonald of the American Society of Interior Design. Also in attendance were the Mavs Dancers, Mavs ManiAACs, Champ, and the Mavs Street Team. The evening featured German food, drinks, live music, and a live and silent auction.

$25,000 was raised at this year’s event, more than tripling last year’s total, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Mavs Foundation. A big thank you to OFS, TUSA Office Solutions, Office Expo, ExponentHR, and the architectural and interior design community for so generously supporting the Mavs Foundation.
